Samanza

Birthday: August 15
Grade: Collège 1

Samanza is light hearted, sensitive, and loves to joke with the kids and staff. She loves to dance, especially with her best friend Jimmyna, and plays piano, guitar, and drums (her favorite). She names Ellen Degeneres as a role model because Ellen interviews funny and interesting kids, gives away gifts, dances, and talks about being kind. We think Samanza would make a great co-host, with her pop culture knowledge and counting Ramona Forever as her favorite book and TobyMac, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, High School Musical, Ever After, and West Side Story among her favorite artists and movies.

She’s the oldest girl, and with that maturity she displays a deep sense of responsibility and has generous, maternal instincts. She loves to volunteer on the weekends with sick children. She hasn’t yet decided her future career, but is considering becoming a police officer, a soldier, or a super model. We’re convinced that with her bright spirit and dedication to service, she could succeed at all three!

In the 2016-2017, she tied for first place with Enolyka in the English Language spelling bee at the junior level.
